Hello! My son is 10 years old now and has PVL/mild CP (you would never guess by looking at him that he has CP! We were so shocked when we got this diagnosis). He was diagnosed late with these, as he was a toe walker until he was 7 years old, and when we took him to the surgeon, he asked if we had ever taken him to a neurologist. I knew Dan was delayed in some fine/gross motor skill stuff, but we never would have guessed that it was something from birth, his development was so slightly delayed that we didn't even notice. I know this sounds like we are completely out of it, but it's true, even tho his PVL is diffuse bilateral. I look forward to hearing from you, it's hard to find PVL parents, it's a global disability, and can be very challenging everyday. Take care, Sue |
