The Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States provides educational support to Malignant hyperthermia patients, their families and the medical community. They are dedicated to reducing the morbidity and mortality of MH by improving medical care related to the syndrome, and improving the scientific understanding and research related to MH and other kinds of heat-related syndromes.

MHAUS publishes a newsletter, The Communicator, five times a year that is included in the membership fee. They also have available a medical packet and a patient packet that includes a booklet "Understanding Malignant Hyperthermia", a brochure "Traveling with Malignant Hyperthermia", plus many more. Call or write for order form. MHAUS has stickers with the hotline number to be placed on or near the phone, and encourages the use of Medic Alert bracelets or necklace.
