Dyslexia Research Institute's mission is to change the perceptions of learning differences, especially dyslexia and ADD, and through this provide the proper recognition and intervention which will allow these individuals to become successful adults.

The Institute publishes a quarterly newsletter, Woodland Hall Academy News, year, and has a list of papers on dyslexia and ADD and their effects on behavior, emotional, socialization, biochemical and academics. They also have a bibliography of articles that are available to interested persons for a minimal fee. DRI has books for distribution including, "The Teacher-Child Connection: What Every Teacher Should Know About Dyslexia and ADD."

DRI collects information on physicians and researchers who treat/study the condition and maintains this information on site. They provide information and referrals to other schools and programs.
