  • American Art Therapy Association
    The AATA is an organization of professionals dedicated to the belief that the creative process involved in art making is healing and life enhancing, Its mission is to serve its members and the general public by providing standards of professional competence, and developing and promoting knowledge in, and of, the field of art therapy.

  • Art, Disability & Expression Exhibit of VSA
    An online exhibit by artists that reflects their experiences with disabilities. This exhibition explores the historical, emotional and sociological influences that have inspired their artistic expression. Collectively, their art reflects aspects of the universal human condition, such as the desire for dignity and equality, the celebration of individuality and the ability to find meaning in all of life's experiences.

  • British Association of Art Therapists
    BAAT is the professional organization for art therapists in the United Kingdom and has its own Code of Ethics of Professional Practice. Comprising of 20 regional groups, a European and an international section, it maintains a comprehensive directory of qualified art therapists and works to promote art therapy in the UK.

  • Canadian Art Therapy Association (C.A.T.A.)
    Promotes the profession of Art Therapy in Canada. The Canadian Art Therapy Association welcomes the contribution of Art Therapists and other individuals interested in the promotion of Art Therapy.

  • National Disability Arts Forum - United Kingdom
    Created to promote equality of opportunity for disabled people in all aspects of the arts by supporting the development of Disability Arts Agencies throughout the UK; maintaining and developing a network through which these Agencies can support and assist each others development; and establishing favourable conditions within which disabled people can explore and express the condition of disability through the arts.
     
  • National Arts and Disability Center - USA
    Technical assistance and referral center specializing in the field of arts and disability. The NADC is dedicated to promoting the full inclusion of children and adults with disabilities into the visual-, performing-, media, and literary-arts communities. Its resource directories, annotated bibliographies, related links and conferences serve to advance artists with disabilities and accessibility to the arts.

  • National Institute of Arts and Disabilities - USA
    Provides an art program that promotes creativity, independence, dignity, and community integration for people with developmental and other disabilities.
     
  • Very Special Arts
    An international nonprofit organization founded to create a society where all people with disabilities learn through, participate in and enjoy the arts. VSA arts provides educators, parents, and artists with resources and the tools to support arts programming in schools and communities. VSA arts showcases the accomplishments of artists with disabilities and promotes increased access to the arts for people with disabilities.
