Established in 1990, the National Graves' Disease Foundation is the only national, lay, nonprofit, educational organization open exclusively to people with Graves' disease, their families, friends and health care professionals.

The NGDF offers a multi-disciplinary approach to a complex problem. Representatives of all related disciplines are included on the Medical and Advisory board: Endocrinology, Surgery, Nursing, Opthalmology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Pharmacology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice and Graves' disease patients.

The National Graves' Disease Foundation is dedicated to increasing the public awareness of the disease and providing support and information to people with the illness.

Where to Go to Chat with Others

• Graves Support
  This list is for people with Graves' Disease and their family and friends who are interesting in supporting them. Topics for discussion can include problems people are experiencing, their chosen course of treatment, current medical studies and possible alternative methods of treatment. This list is not intended to replace expert medical advice and treatment, but to allow folks to discuss various aspects of Graves' with others.
  
• Graves' Support Chat
  This is a spin-off from the Graves_Support group. Discussions include specific Graves' Disease questions and problems, how our lives have changed due to this disease and how we live and cope with it, and just stuff we want to chat about. This is a warm supporting place for friendships to grow.
• Graves Support
  Patient to patient information exchange and support for those with Graves' Disease. Use this forum to discuss Graves' Disease, it's symptoms, treatment options, current research and coping with living with this disease. Post and discuss information that may be helpful to others who suffer from Graves.
