Blood & Marrow Transplant Information Network is a not-for-profit organization dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of persons facing a bone marrow, blood stem cell or umbilical cord blood transplant. Founded in 1990 by bone marrow transplant survivor Susan Stewart, BMT InfoNet strives to provide high quality medical information in easy-to-understand language, so that patients can be active, knowledgeable participants in their health care planning and treatment.

Our publications have been praised by leading patient advocacy and medical professional organizations such as the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship and the American Society for Blood & Marrow Transplantation. A team of highly qualified medical experts reviews all medical information that appears on our website to ensure its accuracy.

In addition to publications, BMT InfoNet offers patients and survivors emotional support. Our volunteer network of over 200 transplant survivors is available to help newly diagnosed patients and their loved ones cope with the stress of a life-threatening diagnosis, and the prospect of a bone marrow, stem cell or cord blood transplant. Having once been patients themselves, our survivor volunteers know first-hand how patients and their loved ones feel when contemplating a transplant.
