CH.A.D.D. Publishes a regular newsletter, and an expanded magazine-style publication covering the latest developments in ADD research, diagnosis, and treatment. There is also a Fact Sheet series and regular updates on breaking news.
On the state level CH.A.D.D. is developing ADD councils to help local and state school systems implement the U.S. Department of Education Federal Policy on ADD which tells schools how to serve students with attention deficit disorders through IDEA and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
ADDA currently provides the following activities and resources to its members:
- An annual national conference
- FOCUS, the quarterly publication of the organization
- A web site
- Written tools, such as ADDA's "Guiding Principles for Coaching Individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder"
- Products such as audio and video tapes on a wide range of adult AD/HD topics
- AD/HD Teleclasses
- Networking opportunities for adults with AD/HD as well as for the professionals who work with them.
- Advocacy in the field of adult AD/HD
ADDA Board members also regularly provide expert information on adult AD/HD for a variety of media sources including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Vogue, WebMD, the BBC, and Oprah. In addition, ADDA has also developed the Adult AD/HD Fact Sheets for the National Resource Center on AD/HD funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
